1867 - Lars Moen and his family emigrated from Norway to the US in 1867. By ship and coal wagon to Dakota. (Spinoff 2014).

2 May 1881 – Kathy Callaghan's father grew up with the story that her Norwegian grandfather, Harold Oscar Anderson, a seaman, born on 2 May 1881 in Nanested Norway. Ship in NZ in 1904, the ship never made it back to Norway. The SS Tomoana left London UK on 21 Oct 1904 from Victoria Dock E and failed to complete the  voyage. (NZ Genealogist. March April 2010).
